Wave Crest mantle ewers

Elegant set of Victorian companion mantle ewers. The Wave Crest opaline milk glass by CF Monroe is tinted a soft pastel blue. The paintings on the fronts depict a courting couple in a pastoral setting with a floral design on the backs, embellished with white moriage. The tops and bases are finished in a process similar to ormolu. Notice the photo showing down the spout, the tops are closed. They are very ornate, with lion's heads on the bases and the center of the handle, and a face below the spout. Circa early 1900's.
